This Bashundhara of ours is full of riches and flowers. Among them, there is a country that is the best of all countries. It is a country made of dreams, surrounded by memories. You will not find such a country anywhere. My motherland is the queen of all countries. Do you know which country is mentioned here? This is our motherland, India. Currently, the beauty of our traditional country is decreasing. Big buildings are being built by cutting trees. Green plants are disappearing. But flowering plants can be planted on the roof of the building or on the balcony. A touch of green can be brought back. We all like gardening more or less. A lot of beautiful gardens can be made there if there is enough space. Many people garden on roofs or balconies. Such a garden adds a lot of beauty. Moreover, seeing such a garden brings peace to the mind. The biggest benefit of a garden is that we get fresh air from it. Which makes us produce oxygen. Besides, we get flowers and fruits from different trees in the garden. Flower gardens are very important to us. Flowers are loved by all people. Even if there is not enough free space, it is possible to grow different flower gardens. How to make this garden, and what materials will be required to make this garden, I have discussed below.
Materials:
The method of gardening that I have done is a bit fancy. No land is required here. Gardening can be done in this way on the terrace of the house, on the balcony and as a barricade. What materials are required for gardening in this way, and the method by which I planted this tree, I have discussed in detail below.
4 Inches PVC Pipe:
The most important material for gardening in this method is PVC Pipe. I have used PVC pipe of 4. inches in diameter here. These pipes are 10 feet long. In this case, I needed a total of 8 pipes. These PVC pipes are available in the local market. Its price varies from place to place. I bought each pipe for Rs.500.
Wooden Stand:
I used a wooden stand to hold the pipes. These wooden stand are 2 inches thick, and 4 feet long. A total of 10 stand are required. I made the stand by cutting a tree stump to the required size from a sawmill. You can also buy wood from the sawmill.
PVC Pipe Holder:
I used a PVC pipe holder to hold the PVC pipes to the wooden stands. These holders are also available at pipe stores. I needed a total of 20 pipe holders. I bought them for Rs 30 each.
Pipe lids:
lids are required on both sides of the pipe to prevent water or soil comes out. These lids are also available at pipe stores. I need a total of 8 lids. These too have to be bought from the pipe shop.
Garden Soil
Soil will be required to fill the inside of the pipe. That’s why I took a lot of garden soil. Soil is not available in many parts of the city. For those who live in flats, it is difficult to get land. But soil is sold in nurseries. Soil can be collected from there.
Organic Fertilizer:
Organic fertilizer should be mixed with the soil. It increases soil fertility. In this case, I have used vermi compost. We have them available here. Where not available, it should be collected from nurseries.
How to build the garden:
It is a hanging garden. For this, the place must be selected first. Then we cut the wooden stands to 4 feet size. 10 such stands will be required. Now these stands should be buried in the ground. That’s why I pulled the stain straight. I dug a hole at a 5-feet gape on that spot. Each hole is 1 feet deep. Now I put the stands in the holes. And I stuck the stands tightly with the soil. Care should be taken that each stand is at a 90-degree angle with the ground. Then I join two pipes of 10 feet. it will be 20 feet long after joining. I need 4 such pipes of 20 feet for this project. I stuck the lids on both sides of the pipe. Then we made a big hole on one side of the pipe with a drill machine. I kept 1.5 feet gap between each hole. The diameter of the hole is 2 inches. When all the holes are done, I stuck the pipes with the stand. In this case, I have used pipe holders. Then I mixed the organic compost well with the soil. Then I filled the soil inside the pipe through the holes. Then I put various small flower plants in those holes. They should be watered regularly. After a few days, those plants will grow and will be filled with flowers.
Advantages and Disadvantages:
This type of gardening has some advantages and disadvantages. In this case, no separate space is needed. Where there is not enough space for gardening, such gardens are really convenient. Not only flowering plants but various creeping fruit trees can also be planted in this way. Moreover, vegetables can also be planted inside this pipe. A garden arranged in such a way is also very pleasant to see. This type of gardening has no direct contact with the soil. For this, water and fertilizer should be given regularly inside this pipe. Otherwise, the plant may lack nutrients.
